K-pop singers-Super Junior

Super Junior

(Korean: 슈퍼주니어; Syupeo Junieo) is a South Korean boy band. Formed in 2005 by producer Lee Soo-man of S.M. Entertainment, the group comprised a total of thirteen members at its peak. Super Junior originally debuted with twelve members, consisting of leader Leeteuk, Heechul, Hankyung, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kibum. Kyuhyun joined the group in 2006.

Known as the "Kings of the Hallyu (Korean) Wave", Super Junior launched into international recognition following the release of their best-selling single "Sorry, Sorry" in 2009, the title song of their most critically successful album Sorry, Sorry and were the best-selling K-pop artist for three years in a row.

Over the years, they have been divided into smaller subgroups, simultaneously targeting different music industries and audiences. Largely due to Super Junior's success as entertainers, other Korean entertainment managements began to train their music groups in other areas of entertainment, such as acting and hosting. In addition to their commercial success, Super Junior has earned thirteen music awards from the Mnet Asian Music Awards, sixteen from the Golden Disk Awards, and is the second singing group to win Favorite Artist Korea at the 2008 MTV Asia Awards after JTL in 2003. In 2012, they were nominated for "Best Asian Act" in MTV Europe Music Awards showing one more time their popularity around world.
In December 2009, Hankyung departed from the group after filing a lawsuit against their agency S.M. Entertainment. Hankyung subsequently won the lawsuit in December 2010, though his departure from Super Junior was not made official until September 27, 2011,  when S.M. Entertainment finally released a statement to that effect.Kangin enlisted for his mandatory military service on July 5, 2010 and completed his service on April 16, 2012. Heechul enlisted for his mandatory military service on September 1, 2011 and completed his service on August 30, 2013. Leeteuk enlisted for his mandatory military service on October 30, 2012. Hotel Tong travel information-Insadong

Insa-dong (인사동), located in the heart of the city, is an important place where old but precious and traditional goods are on display. There is one main road in Insa-dong with alleys on each side. Within these alleys are galleries, traditional restaurants, traditional teahouses, and cafes.

The galleries are the heartbeat of Insa-dong. There are about 100 galleries in the area and you can see every example of traditional Korean fine art from paintings to sculptures. The most famous galleries are Hakgojae Gallery, which functions as the center of folk art, Gana Art Gallery, which promotes many promising artists, and Gana Art Center.

The teahouses and restaurants are the perfect complement to the galleries. At first they might be hard to find, but if you take the time to stroll around the twisting alleyways, the window shopping in itself can be very entertaining. The shops in Insa-dong are very popular among all age groups, because each one is unique.

Every Saturday from 14:00 – 22:00 and Sunday from 10:00 – 22:00, some streets are blocked off from traffic and it becomes a cultural space. Stores set up booths outside and others set up shops (Korean candy merchants and fortune tellers.) There are traditional performances and exhibits as well. Insa-dong is especially popular with foreign tourists. This is where they can experience and see traditional Korean culture firsthand, and also purchase pieces of fine art. On the street you can eat Korean taffy and traditional pajeon (Korean pancake), and see many foreigners lost in all the joyous festivities of the street.

Dongdaemun is one of the best shopping districts in Seoul with its diverse shopping destinations from street stores to large malls. Its grandness features very long shopping stretches with each area typically dedicated to one specific type of item. One major area of the mall or market can offer all kinds of footwear, another can offer all sorts of fashionable clothes, and so on.
Traveling around Dongdaemun provides endless options for shopping spots. In fact, it's impossible to really visit each and every shopping area in this district for just one day. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothes and footwear when shopping in the area.

Transportation:  Subway

The Seoul subway's Dongdaemun Station serves a common station shared by two subway lines; while the nearby Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station (formerly Dongdaemun Stadium Station) serves a common station shared by three subway lines.
When going to the Dongdaemun Station, you can use the Dark Blue Line (Seoul Subway Line 1, station number 128) or the Blue Line (Seoul Subway Line 4, station number 421). You can transfer to any of these two subway lines to get to your other destinations in Seoul. This subway station is close to one part of the Dongdaemun Market.
When going to the Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, you can use the Green Line (Seoul Subway Line 2, station number 205), the Blue Line (Seoul Subway Line 4, station number 422), or the Purple Line (Seoul Subway Line 5, station number 536). You can transfer to any of these three subway lines to get to your other destinations. This subway station is close to the old Dongdaemun Stadium and the huge Dongdaemun Market district which surrounds the station. The nearby Dongdaemun Station is located just north across Cheonggyecheon from here.

The area around Dongdaemun known as the Dongdaemun Market includes upscale shopping districts, malls, underground shops, street stalls, and market places. Many of them are open even during the wee hours of dawn.
The Dongdaemun Market was traditionally a night market where wholesalers were open for business from 1:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Today, the area is practically open 24 hours a day. Some areas are open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next day. Most stores are closed during Mondays and certain holidays.
The Dongdaemun Market showcases about 26 shopping malls covering over 10 blocks. There are about 30,000 specialty shops and about 50,000 different manufacturers within the area. Commercial establishments sell various types of goods including clothes, shoes and leather products, silks and fabrics, sporting goods, plumbing and electronics items, office supplies, fortune telling goods, toys, and Korean food and other traditional items. Pet lovers also frequently visit pet shops around the area. There are many dining establishments all over Dongdaemun as well.
The main street divides the Dongdaemun Market into two sections. The first section is on the side near the Doosan Tower while the other section is on the side of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza and Park, the old site of the Dongdaemun Stadium.
The first section primarily sells wholesale and retail goods, mostly catering to general customers and tourists doing retail shopping. Tourists can take advantage of many money exchange facilities and tourist information desks with English speaking staff within this section of the market. General shops are open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next day.
Major shopping malls in this side of the Dongdaemun Market include the Doosan Tower, Migliore, Freya Town, and Hello apM.
While commercial establishments on the second section also sell goods both for wholesale and retail, this section of the market mainly focuses in bulk sales. Many shops are usually open from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next day. Peak hours for shopping is by late night to early morning.
Major shopping malls in this side of the Dongdaemun Market include the Designer's Club, Migliore Valley, Nuzzon, Gwanghee Fashion Mall, Jeil Pyeonghwa, and Heungin Stardom. Designer's Club, Migliore Valley, Nuzzon, and Gwanghee Fashion Mall attract more teen and young adult shoppers; while Jeil Pyeonghwa and Heungin Stardom attract more shoppers in their thirties and forties.

Daehangno, known as the street for young people, is the former location of Seoul National University. In the 1980s, many theater groups started moving to Daehangno, and it soon developed into a cultural center. In a short period of time liv...e-cafes, movie theaters, regular cafes and pubs sprung up, and it grew into an
entertainment district. Its popularity is still maintained by famous small theaters such as Parangsae (Blue Bird) Theater and Hakjeong Theater, and some 30 additional theaters have concentrated here contributing to keeping Daehangno as the root-center of performance art in Korea. The center of Daehangno, Marronnier Park, has frequent live performances or dance performances by young people. This is the reason Daehangno is called the “Play Mecca” or “Young Street” as well. Another reason Daehangno became so popular with young people is the various interesting sights and food to be found here. Many restaurants, fast food joints, cafes, and bars are concentrated here, making it convenient for people to find something to do after plays and live-performances. Its unique atmosphere and space continues to be beloved by many young people.
